Incredible Edibles

We are very lucky to be participating in the Incredible Edibles healthy eating initiative. This programme is designed to encourage children to grow potatoes, fruit and vegetables in school with a view to increasing consumption of potatoes, fruit and vegetables and learning about food origin and quality. Within his project we will be growing potatoes, carrots, turnips, lettuce and strawberries in our school. We received a raised bed and cloche which we have assembled already and we will begin germinating the seeds when we return after the Easter holidays. We will be able to harvest them in June. We are so excited to be involved in this project and cannot wait to taste and cook with all the lovely fruit and vegetable that we grow.We will add posts to our gardening blog to keep you updated on how we are getting on.

About Our Blog

We have divided our blog into four categories – Cookery, French, Gardening and Tin Whistle. These are our 4 extra curricular activities

Open Day Success!

The Glebe NS Open Day, which was held on Saturday 11/02/2012, was a huge success. Over 40 people, including Grannies, Granddads, Aunts, Uncles, Moms, Dads and children turned up and a great day was had by all. As a follow up to this we will be having an Information Night for parents of pre enrolled children in the coming weeks. If you could not make the open day feel free to come along to this. Alternatively, you can contact the school and make an appointment to come meet the Principal, who would be happy to show you around the school and answer any of your questions.

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year!

The Glebe NS would like to wish all family, friends, colleagues and everyone associated with the school a very happy and peaceful New Year!

Christmas at The Glebe NS

Our Christmas Concert was a huge success! We did The Three Little Pigs, a tin whistle performance, a carol service, a photographic presentation and a powerpoint presentation. All our parents were so impressed. Santa came to visit at the end and we all got a small gift. Here are some pictures of us on the day.

Titanic Projects

5th Class just completed projects on the Titanic. They did a great job! Here are some pictures.
