World Book Day
Celebrating World Book Day at School
Our school had a wonderful time celebrating World Book Day. The day was filled with excitement, creativity, and a shared love of reading.
Pupils arrived at school dressed as their favourite book characters, bringing many well-known stories to life. From classic heroes to magical characters, the costumes made the school feel like a real storybook.
Throughout the day, pupils took part in shared reading activities with their classmates. They enjoyed reading together, discussing their favourite books, and discovering new stories. Sharing books helped everyone experience the joy of reading and listening to different voices and ideas.
Story time was another highlight of the day. Pupils listened carefully as stories were read aloud, using their imagination to picture the characters and adventures. These moments reminded everyone how powerful and enjoyable storytelling can be. Thank you to families who volunteered to read.
World Book Day was a fantastic celebration of books, creativity, and the importance of reading. It was wonderful to see pupils so enthusiastic about stories and sharing their love of books with others.

Green School Visit

Biodiversity Bug Hotel
The pupils worked together to build a bug hotel for the school garden, creating a safe place for insects and other small creatures to live. They collected natural materials such as sticks, leaves, pinecones, bark, and pieces of bamboo, carefully arranging them into different sections of the hotel. While building it, the pupils learned about the importance of insects like bees, beetles, and ladybirds, and how they help plants grow and keep the ecosystem healthy. The project was both fun and educational, encouraging teamwork, creativity, and respect for nature while helping to make the school garden more wildlife-friendly. Thanks to Ness who came in and did a lot of the heavy lifting in terms of making it. Well Done to all the pupils.
Christmas in The Glebe
The creativity continued at a Christmas card workshop, where the kids spent hours designing personalised greetings to share with loved ones. The artistic energy stayed high as we crafted unique clay ornaments that now hang proudly on the branches, adding a personal touch to our festive display. To top off this journey, the children shared their talents with our wider community, performing a beautiful selection of Christmas hymns during our religious service—a moving conclusion to a season defined by art, music, and togetherness.

Halloween
The pupils gave us a big fright this morning with their wonderful Halloween costumes. As well as some ghoulish outfits, there was plenty of colourful and imaginative costumes. We immensely enjoyed the parade around the park and Halloween themed games and activities in school.
